HI There
We have an SQL 2012, 2 node AAG Cluster running in a Server 2012 WFC environment. We have now virtualised the SQL estate and no longer require the AAG functionality. We want therefore to remove (drop) the AAG. The AAG is used for a SharePoint Farm.
If we do this i believe the AAG listener is also removed? This will therefore disconnect the client from the databases. I cannot find any documentation on removing an AAG (other than just right click the AAG on the Primary node and select delete ) and then re-establishing connections.
Can someone tell me the correct procedure to remove the AAG (and subsequent WFC node) whilst maintaining connectivity to our SPS Farm (client connectivity to database)?
thanks
Steve
