I am currently checking out the new SQL2012 Server that we are probably going to use for our ERP.
This is the planned setup:
Server A + Server B in one Failover Cluster + FileShare Quorum (Windows role) and also in a AlwaysOnAvailabilityGroup.
This setup works quite well. The point is that I would like to add a 3rd server with transactionlog shipping. This server is neither within the Failover Cluster nor the AlwaysOnAvailabilityGroup.
When Setting up the transactionlogshipping on server A, it works quite well as long as there is no need to switch primary/secondary Server due to a failover.
I am wondering whether or not there is a solution for that?
Is it possible to have a working setup where the primary server within the alwaysonavgroup is always creating the transaction logs?
I hope my problem is understandable?
