I've setup numerous clusters in 2003 and 2008. This is my first time setting up a cluster using Windows 2012 with SQL 2012. First Thank you for your help...
Both Virtual Machines - disks mounted from SAN. Apparently as per this article and Brent Ozar's article on AlwaysOn setup, I don't need shared storage.
The only inquiry I have on my setup that the Disk Witness in Quorum only shows up on Node 2. When moving over the cluster from one node to the other, only the other drives move. This makes sense and I know why. However, if my Node 2 goes down, will my AlwaysOn configuration continue to work? I believe yes, but I hate to say I have not tested that.
If I sound a bit ignorant here please excuse me. I am willing to read as many articles as posted in reply to my inquiry. I just want to know when my Disk Witness in Quorum goes offline, if the AlwaysOn will continue to work.
Thanks.
Frank.
A SQL Server MVP or MSFT Eng should be replying soon as well. Hope this helps. Frank Garcia *** Please select "Vote As Helpful" if the information provided was helpful to you.
