The volume that contains SQL Server data directory does not belong to the cluster group.

Hi, I know this has been posted before, but could not find any solution, yet. I am creating a 2 node sql 2014 failover cluster, virtual.

The different data and log disks are mapped as mount points on the E: drive, both the E: drive and the mount points are set up as cluster shared disks. (RDM vi vmware)

Example:

E: - Shared cluster disk with assigned drive letter

userdb-data: - shared cluster disk assigned with a mount point on the E: disk

Picture from cluster management here:

When im coming to the step in the SQL installation to assign disks to the dbs I am getting the error:

"The volume that contains SQL Server data directory <drive> does not belong to the cluster group."

Any ideas?
