Always ON Secondary database state Recovery Pending

Hi,

I have SQL 2012 Always on AG set up with a Primary Server and an  asynchronous secondary server. There was an issue on the AG. In order to fix it quickly, I removed the secondary replica from the group. Now, I have AG setup with only primary server. The databases on the replica is in Recovery Pending' state. I cannot add the existing replica into AG group.

I am getting following exceptions with actions as:

ALTER DATABASE 'DB' SET HADR OFF

Could not process the operation. AlwaysOn Availability Groups replica manager is waiting for the host computer to start a Windows Server Failover Clustering (WSFC) cluster and join it. Either the local computer is not a cluster node, or the local cluster node is not online. If the computer is a cluster node, wait for it to join the cluster. If the computer is not a cluster node, add the computer to a WSFC cluster. Then, retry the operation.

DROP DATABASE 'DB'

The database 'DB' is currently joined to an availability group.  Before you can drop the database, you need to remove it from the availatility group.

I need guidance to add the replica into existing AG.

Thanks in advance.

Shady
