Hi!

Dear Sirs,

@Version 2005 :

I have a cluster with 5 instances with SQL SERVER

The sql server Select @@version is :

Microsoft SQL Server 2005 - 9.00.5000.00 (X64)
Dec 10 2010 10:38:40

Copyright (c) 1988-2005 Microsoft Corporation
Enterprise Edition (64-bit) on Windows NT 5.2 (Build 3790: Service Pack 2)

I have looked for the first instance at X:\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\Data

I have the following files :

5 files like C0D4479B-4FAV-49B7-A031-D78D11888304.cer

distmdl.ldf

distmdl.mdf

mssqlsystemresource.ldf

mssqlsystemresource.mdf

Do I need to backup this files ?

This files are for what ?

@Versions 2000, 2005, 2008 and 2012 :

Do I need to backup additional files for a solid disaster and recover strategy of sql server ?

Best regards

Miguel
