Log Backup Hung on SQL Synchronous AlwaysOn Cluster with HADR_SYNC_COMMIT

Hi All,

Log backups kicked off for the databases on my cluster today and hung on a small static database. The Wait_type = HADR_SYNC_COMMIT. It's been stuck like this for hours. As previously mentioned, the database is fairly static and the last_hardened_time on the secondary node indicates logs were hardened a few hours prior to backup. All databases (including this one) are synchronized and there's minimal traffic between the primary and secondary nodes. Additionally, they're on the same LAN, same subnet, so <g class="gr_ gr_898 gr-alert gr_gramm Grammar multiReplace" data-gr-id="898" id="898">there's</g> no network issues.

I'm really new to SQL, so any further troubleshooting advice or any ideas at all would be appreciated. I want to steer clear of killing the SP ID <g class="gr_ gr_999 gr-alert gr_spell ContextualSpelling" data-gr-id="999" id="999">incase</g> it results in a rollback.

Thanks.
