SQL Server Always On Backups

Hi,

I just read about the backup configurations on Always on nodes. Below are my understandings.

1. We can take regular backups (full , differential & log ) from the primary side.

2. We can take only log backups & COPY-ONLY backup  from the secondary replica side.

Below are my concerns.

1. Is it possible to schedule full & differential backups from the primary and the schedule only log backups form the secondary side ?

2. If that is possible, can we do the point in time recovery using those backups (full & differential from primary and log backup from secondary ) ?

Please guide me to configure the backups.

Thanks,

Vinodh Selvaraj
