Possible to host mix of Dbs those support and those not support 'always on' on the same SQL failover cluster?

Hi Team,

We are planning to have new SQL 2014 SP1 failover cluster to host few DBs for different technologies. I have few queries if anyone pls. share some inputs:

- When we enable 'Always on' (SQL server properties | Advanced | Enable contained Database) does that mean it will be enabled for all DBs hosted on that SQL box/cluster?

- Is it possible to host both DBs i.e. 1 that supports Always On and other that doesn't support 'Always On' like RMS on the same SQL cluster?

- what are different type of clusters that support 'Always on', i mean 2 node or 4 node etc.? Any minimum requirements to support 'Always On' ?

Regards
