I want to set up a SQL Server 2012 instance with AlwaysOn AG. For now, just 1 primary and 1 replica.
I know I need a windows server failover cluster, but I need to know if I also need a SQL Server failover instance?
From what I have read about it, it sounds like I do not need a sql server failover instance, just two nodes in a windows cluster. Is that correct?
