I am testing a 3rd party product to backup 4 SQL servers, however 3 of them will intermittently fail to backup.
Restarting the 'SQL Server VSS Writer' service will always fix this, temporarily.
Within a few days the problem always returns.
When the SQL backups fail, I run 'vssadmin list writers' and I can see that 'SQLServerWriter' is missing. Restarting the above service causes it to return to this list, and for backups to work for a short period of time.

None of the DBs have spaces in their names, and the VSS service is running as local administrator who is member of sysadmin role in SQL.
Out of ideas now, can anyone advise please?
