We have 3 node DR WSFC that houses 4 SQL server instances. One of the 4 instances (instance 2) is not able to move to two of the 3 nodes and fails with the error "[sqsrvres] SQLClusterResourceWorkerWaitForCompletion() failed with error 0. Please contact customer support". This is a new incident as it has worked flawlessly over the past several months. We just finished applying the latest MS patches to node 1 and moved instance 2 ( typically lives on node 2) to node3 to patch node 2. After patching node 2 we went to move instance 2 back to node 2 and it failed with the above error. We also tried to move it to node 1 and it failed there as well, same error.
It would appear that the MS patches are the culprit since instance 2 can run on node 3 and node 3 is the only node not patched yet. However the other instances (1, 3 and 4) can move to/from the nodes that were patched. We uninstalled one of the patches (KB3197874) which did nothing and the other patch (KB3194720) was going to removed features from all instances on uninstall so we were hesitant to do that.
Has anyone ever run into this particular error, I have searched high and low and came up with nothing?
