Procedure to add 8 node to one instance in active /passive

Dear Sir,

I am in the learning stage of cluster.I am having some doubts which i mentioned below.

In Active/passive in node 1 we have one instance. For that same instance how to add 8 node

In node A we have to install the instance.In node B we have to add node(NODE 1).
like that 8 times we have to do.

In Active/passive in node 1 we have 2 instances.How to add node to each instance.

Install 1st instance one in node A.Then in node B add node for 1st instance.

Install 2nd instance one in node A.Then in node B add node for 2nd instance.

Apologies if am not correct.Please correct me if i am wrong.And please share some links.
