SQL AG Synchronization behaviour with dedicated network if public is unavailable

Hi Team,

We have 2 node SQL cluster in Primary datacenter and 3rd node in DR with SQL standalone. Separate dedicated NIC is assigned to have replication traffic between Instances part of AG group. Replication traffic is limited to its own IP address and Port number and endpoints are created with these specific IPs and Port. While configuring AG,http://IP:port are given for replication.

Firewall ports between the subnets are opened

Now we are facing some issues with public network and node 3 is going down . What will happen to synchronization in this case? Since replication network is still up, should the synch still happen between the endpoints for AG? or even AG replication will also stop if node is showing down in WSFC? If i go to node 3 and connect to SQL instances, i am able to connect the instances, its that heartbeat communication between nodes are stopped due to public network.

Any pointers if replication traffic should continue in this case since endpoints have dedicated network subnet?

Regards
