Hey guys,
I got a problem with our sql2008r2 fail-over production cluster!
after changing the NICs to use VLAN tagging (2 VLANs at one Port) the cluster validation test
failed with the following messages:
Found duplicate physical address 68-B5-99-6F-FB-A4 on node SKRZDB06FCN1.asp.krzwan.de adapter Inter-Cluster-Network and node SKRZDB06FCN1.asp.krzwan.de adapter Client-Network.
Found duplicate physical address 68-B5-99-6F-AB-A4 on node SKRZDB06FCN2.asp.krzwan.de adapter Inter-Cluster-Network and node SKRZDB06FCN2.asp.krzwan.de adapter Client-Network.
Found duplicate physical address 68-B5-99-77-78-16 on node SKRZDB06FCN3.asp.krzwan.de adapter Inter-Cluster-Network and node SKRZDB06FCN3.asp.krzwan.de adapter Client-Network.
Found duplicate physical address 68-B5-99-75-C4-76 on node SKRZDB06FCN4.asp.krzwan.de adapter Inter-Cluster-Network and node SKRZDB06FCN4.asp.krzwan.de adapter Client-Network.
But, with vlan tagging (2 VLANs at one port) with teaming the interfaces it is actually correct that both virtual NICs use the same MAC. This is correct at layer 2 communication.
The Cluster works fine and has no issues.
Why does the cluster validation test fail? - Is vlan tagging not supported?

Thank you for any reply!
