We are trying to create an AlwaysOn High Availability group with Windows Failover Cluster on two Server 2012 systems. The WFC tool is installed and a cluster has been configured and we have installed SQL 2012 on both the servers. However when we go to enable the AlwaysOn High Availability feature in SQL there is no check box to enable it only the message:
"The AlwaysOn Availability Groups feature requires the x86(non-WOW) or x64 Enterprise Edition of SQL Server 2012 (or later version) running on Windows Server 2008 (or later version) with WSFC hotfix KB 2494036 installed. This SQL Server edition and/or Windows Server System does not meet one or more of the requirements"
The referenced hotfix is only for Server 2008; so it does not seem relevant, we even tried to install it for the hell of it with no luck.
Does anyone have a workaround for this?
