I've a windows server 2008 R2 SP1 failover cluster and SQL 2008 R2 SP1 installed on it. I would want to know if,

1) inplace upgrade of SQL 2008 R2 SP1 to SQL 2012 is possible?

2) If "inplace upgrade of SQL 2008 R2 SP1 to SQL 2012" is possible, can I create aAlways On availability group after the upgrade

3) Does SQL server 2012 function without any issues on Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1? Which of the two is a no problem combination, Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 + SQL server 2012 (or) Windows Server 2012 + SQL Server 2012?

Appreciate your time and help.

Thanks,
