It sounds like a simple question (probably is), but I couldn't find an answer. Is there a setting which enables AlwaysOn HA for newly created databases automatically?
I'm using SQL AlwaysOn HA for my SharePoint farm. SharePoint administrators can create new content databases via the central administration, which are automatically created in the SQL instance. But those databases are not automatically included in the AlwaysOn group and thus not high available.
At this time, we need to inform a DBA that a new database should be added to the group and then everything is safe and sound again. But this leaves room for error, so I'd rather make the policies that newly created databases in this SQL instance are automatically made HA by including them in the (only) AlwaysOn group.
Can this be done? And if so: how? Thanks.
