Using AlwaysOn for HA and DR on heterogen virtualisation

I am planning a HA and DR strategy for SharePoint 2013 on SQL 2012 AlwaysOn. I have two Data Centers. One is the main DC and the other is the DR site. In the DR site there is the complete SharePoint farm built (application). 

AlwaysOn is based on Windows Failover Clustering. Within the Data Centers boundaries I want to use synchronous mode and asynchronous for DR. The latency between the DCs is ~50ms. The primary DC uses VMWare ESX for virtualization while the DR site runs on HyperV. We do not want to use storage replication on hardware level. The VMs should keep their data on their local disks.

1. Is the heterogene virtualization layer an issue?
2. Is the latency between the DC an issue for the multi-site Windows Failover cluster?
