Hi,
I had a corrupted mdf file so I purchsed SQL Recovery Toolbox to fix it. When it repaired the file, it spat out a number of sql files and an install.bat file. Because the file was a sql 2008 express file, i'm supposed to now use sqlcmd.exe to fix it. Apparently to get it back to a mdf file, I need to create a blank database and somehow use sqlcmd.exe to import the sql files into the new mdf file.
I use a security program which installs sql express 2008 during the install. I don't know how to use MS Sql. The security program I use has it's own batch file to attach or detatch the two mdf and ldf file to it. I emailed the SQL Recovery Toolbox tech support for instructions on how to created a new mdf db and import the repaired sql files but they basically said that they have an agreement with MS and cannot tell me how to do it.
Can someone please let me know what to do or where to look for assistance? I am stuck at the moment and don't know what else to do.
Any help greatly appreciated, cheers.
