I'm looking for help in understanding my options for clustering SQL server 2012. I'm looking to deploy a two node SQL cluster for a SharePoint environment. (This server will also host other databases as well outside the SP environment.) I have share storage (Fiber connected SAN) and was thinking about using Windows Failover Cluster with the shared storage. Our SharePoint consultant is requesting to use SQL 2012 Always On (Synchronous Commit). Which would be the better option for the failover cluster setup?
These are physical servers and not VMs.
